World photo day 2016, Celebrating 177 years of photography
Today marks a special in the photography world, and in celebration I thought I would tell you my top 5 favourite places to capture beautiful photos in the UK. I have been lucky enough to travel around Europe, visiting many countries such as Iceland and Greece but it doesn’t get much better than somewhere closer to home.
#1 Glen Coe, Scotland
Glen Coe is a glen of volcanic origins in the highlands of Scotland, lying north of Argyll. It is often considered one of the most spectacular and beautiful places in Scotland.
#2 Snowdonia, Wales
Snowdonia Mountain Range is a region full of breathtaking views and scenic landscapes. It’s home to the tallest mountain in Wales.
#3 Colemere Lake, Shropshire
Colemere Lake is a small glacial mere in north Shropshire. There is a full circular walk, offering many picturesque views of the lake.
#4 Pistyll Rhaedr Waterfall, Wales
This enchanting waterfall is the tallest single drop waterfall in the UK, perfect for those slow shutter speed lovers.
#5 Lake Vyrnwy, Wales
This dam was built in the 1880s in the Vyrnwy Valley, creating a quaint lake. It’s a more manmade landscape in comparison to the others but still a top location to visit.
